Dear Locals, Thank You!

From delicious food to adventure advice to maintaining trails, read on to learn why our locals set us apart.

Top Notch Trails

Whether you’re hiking or biking, it’s easy to really immerse yourself in Fruita’s natural beauty. Roam hiking trails that wind through red canyons or coast down world-class single track overlooking the Colorado River. Our trails can take you to prehistoric times (quite literally at Dinosaur Hill) or lead you a stunning view. While thousands come to enjoy our trail systems every year, we wouldn’t have this amazing resource without our trail maintenance crews.

A Community that’s Committed to Conservation

No matter if you’re a Fruita local who helps educate visitors on MTB etiquette, a visitor who picks up trash they see on the trail, or a volunteer with COPMOBA, we’re extremely thankful to those who treat our land and resources with respect. Without the help of our community, we wouldn’t be able to provide such an amazing experience to all those who visit our city.

Cruisin’ Kiddos

One reason we love Fruita is that our city can be enjoyed by anyone, at any level of recreation. While we’ve got plenty of extremes, we also have introductory mountain biking trails, Stand Up Paddle Board classes, hiking paths and more, for every one of our visitors to enjoy. From that little one bombing down the trail to the senior discovering Paddle Boarding for the first time, we’re all grateful to be here in Fruita.

Our Local Love

When we say “Play like a Local” here in Fruita, we mean it. Our locals are not only great at playing in Fruita, but they want others to have a great time here too. From business owners, to trail volunteers, to farmers, ranchers and more, we’re lucky to have such a positive and cheerful force in our home. In Fruita, we’re a family, so come visit, and be a part of it too.

Fruita’s Future

It only gets better and better, and we can’t help but be thankful for what’s ahead. Fruita’s locals, volunteers, businesses and visitors have all contributed to make Fruita a great place to play, stay and live. We’re committed to maintaining and protecting Fruita’s resources, ensuring everyone has a place to Play like a Local.

While the list could go on and on, we know we have lots to be thankful for in Fruita. So raise a glass (specifically from Suds Brothers or Copper Club Brewery) and cheers to our amazing community and city!
